On Sunday 06/10/2019 at 10:30 am the 2nd Street Handball was held in front of the Byron City Hall, in Athens. Young male & female athletes were informed in their schools of how they can participate, by the event managers. They could sign up either by making their own team with their friends or joining the organizer’s Athinaikos H.C. teams.

250 children, lots of parents, all of us who love children and Byron were there. We were happy with the children, we were happy with their smiles and their voices and we became children again with their excitement and joy!
We could write endlessly about everything that happened in the event, but we will focus on what made us love sports and handball at Αthinaikos Handball Club.
Christos Tampaxis, the magnificent man and gold Paralympic champion in Swimming, was honored. His name has already been given to the Byron Municipal Swimming Pool.
In addition, our sponsors and other people who have donated and continue to help Athinaikos Handball Club and Handball in Byron generally, have been awarded in these big event.
Also present at the event were veteran handball athletes from Byron, who won many titles wearing Athinaikos’ H.C. and national team’s jersey in the past. Of course at the end of the event, a demonstration game for young athletes was organized.
Athinaikos Handball Club is nothing more than a large historical family.
Thanks to the organisers:
