Deportivo Retamar Handball Club has organized the “Street Handball 2015” tournament from the 9th to the 12th June in which 250 athletes have taken part of it. There were a total of 31 teams belonging to five different categories.
The Club was founded in 1968 in Pedro Muñoz, a town in the province of Ciudad Real (Spain). It has a sport school where 200 people of both sexes practice and learn handball, 157 playing in young teams, 32 in higher teams and 17 in senior classes. We are going to take part in an international tournament in Toledo shortly. It is called “Toledo Handball Cup”, in which teams from Portugal and Algeria will play too. Besides, we are going to play in the “Torrellano Cup 2015” tournament, in the province of Alicante. To finish the season we organize a Beach Handball competition that is played in the afternoon and the evening with players coming from different parts of the region.
